Suspended Acoustic Baffles

Acoustic Ceiling Baffles for Open and High-Ceiling Spaces

Suspended Acoustic Baffles add sound absorption directly into the ceiling zone, helping control reflected sound and excessive reverberation without covering the entire ceiling surface. ES Acoustic offers PET Acoustic Ceiling Baffles and Fiberglass Acoustic Ceiling Baffles for commercial, educational, hospitality, public, and large-volume interiors.

Both systems use vertical suspension to expose more absorbing surface to the room. We offer different materials, sizes, colors, shapes, spacing, and suspension layouts to match the acoustic and architectural requirements of each project.

PET Acoustic Ceiling Baffles

Lightweight polyester fiber baffles combine sound absorption with flexible architectural design.

PET felt allows us to create linear, curved, wave, geometric, and custom-cut ceiling elements in a wide range of colors. These baffles work particularly well in offices, schools, restaurants, hotels, retail spaces, and modern commercial interiors where acoustic treatment forms part of the visual design.

Fiberglass Acoustic Ceiling Baffles

Fiberglass acoustic ceiling baffles use a high-density porous core to provide strong sound absorption in spaces with demanding reverberation conditions.

We combine the fiberglass core with acoustically transparent surface finishes and project-specific suspension systems. This construction works well in auditoriums, conference spaces, gymnasiums, public buildings, large halls, and other interiors that require substantial overhead acoustic treatment.

PET vs Fiberglass Acoustic Baffles

Both materials provide effective suspended sound absorption, but they serve different architectural and project requirements.

How Suspended Acoustic Baffles Improve Room Acoustics

Suspended acoustic baffles introduce absorptive material directly into the upper part of a room. Unlike panels fixed flat against a ceiling, vertically suspended baffles expose both faces to reflected sound. This increases the active absorbing surface and allows designers to distribute acoustic treatment across open ceilings without completely covering the ceiling structure. Baffle spacing, drop height, thickness, material, room volume, and total coverage all influence the final acoustic result.
